Gua Sha Stone Jade
I love using my jade Gua Sha stone at night, along with my Multivitamin Facial Serum. Working with the stone lets you reach deeper into the muscles and fascia than fingers alone, releasing tension and giving your face a lovely mini workout — it can even help ease headaches, including the sinus kind.
How I use it: press gently all over your neck, face and décolletage. Hold it softly under each eye, then over each closed eye. Then, starting at the neck, stroke upwards towards your forehead.
Keep your stone in the fridge if you can — the colder it is, the more soothing and de-puffing it feels. A little redness afterwards is perfectly normal; in Chinese medicine that flush (sha) is seen as your body's healing response, and jade is believed to carry a healing energy of its own. To clean it, simply use warm water and a little soap.
